Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi found himself targeted by an Afghan spectator during the thrilling second match of the T20I series between Pakistan and Ireland, held in Dublin.
The incident occurred as Shaheen was making his way from the dressing room to the ground, where tensions escalated due to the spectator’s misconduct.
Despite initially ignoring the verbal abuse hurled at him, Shaheen Shah Afridi decided to take action against the unruly behavior. He promptly alerted the security personnel present at the venue after the situation failed to de-escalate.
Security swiftly intervened, promptly removing the spectator from the ground premises, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
In the match, Pakistan exhibited their dominance, securing a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over the hosts, thereby leveling the series 1-1. Shaheen Shah Afridi’s on-field performance also garnered attention as he reached a significant milestone, claiming his 300th international wicket by dismissing Irish captain Paul Stirling.
Despite conceding 49 runs during the match, Afridi’s achievement added another feather to his cap.
